My role - Graphic Designer
2025 | Cover Design | Freelance
This project I was hired to create a cover for Corentin Cardot, Ph.D. for his final exam at DTU. The main theme of extraction was "cars lights moving from the horizon". This project went through many iterations, as this client had a very fantastic and clear idea of what he wanted.
Here my responsibilities were:
Concepts, Implemention, Motion graphics, Co-design.
A central molecular form—inspired by the pixelated sphere—transitions from discrete data blocks on one side to organic texture and fluorescent color on the other.Across the background, incorporate subtle horizontal bands or gradients referencing microfluidic experiments. Within or around the central object, add hints of molecular trajectories, glowing localization points, or confinement elements.
The overall composition should feel:
Scientific but artistic
Abstract but clearly research-inspired
Warm focal point against cool, dark surroundings
Precise but with a sense of motion
Iterations
The first 3 ideas
Getting to the main concept
The small details
Starting off with establishing the World of Nuba. When fleshing out the visuals of the environments, it was important to have contrast between different regions, giving each of them a positive and a negative personality. So when exploring, you can be able to tell its identity, the assets having a strong contrast profile by utilizing shape language and color theory.
